The new state-of-the-art Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland, Maryland - featuring friendly spaces - was officially unveiled on November 21, 2009.
The new hospital combines two hospitals into one. Approximately 220 patients from Braddock Hospital and Memorial Hospital was transported, based on a phased schedule, to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
The new Western Maryland Regional Medical Center is designed to house inpatient and outpatient services in one centralized location. Conveniently- located outpatient services offers easier access for patients.
The hospital features comfortable and friendly spaces for patients and their families. The hospital has expanded dining facilities, including a food court and 24-hour food service. The patient care areas are designed specifically for today’s medical equipment and information technology.
