Tellepsen recognized for Memorial Hermann project in Texas

Texas-based construction company, Tellepsen’s work on Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute in Houston, Texas, has been selected as ‘Project of the Year’ by Association of General Contractors (AGC).
Tellepsen’s project has won the title from Texas Building Branch (TBB)-Association of General Contractors (AGC) Outstanding Construction Awards (OCA) competition, in the category of buildings over $75 million. The company will receive its award at the AGC TBB annual convention in July 2009.
Construction of Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute commenced in 2005. Tellepsen undertook 90,000 square feet of interior medical build-out, including 65 beds, one bi-plane and four single-plane catherization labs, expanded imaging and diagnostic capabilities, and MEP systems on levels seven, eight and nine of the east tower.
The 270,000 square feet facility built over eight floors, is designed to house administration space, parking garages, radiology space, six operating rooms, five catheterization labs and 149 patient beds.
