Martinsburg City Hospital opens new cancer centre

Martinsburg City Hospital in West Virginia, US has opened the new Cancer and Infusion Center to treat its cancer patients.

The new centre, which is a department of City Hospital, is located on the second floor of the Dorothy A. McCormack Center, Suite 2600. Patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services will now be accommodated in the new centre.

The centre includes five exam rooms, 12 patient chairs for chemotherapy, infusions and a pharmacy. The building features serene surroundings which help patients in their recovery. The design, layout and lighting of the building have been designed to aid recovery and lift the spirits of the patients.

The new Cancer and Infusion Center can treat more than 60 patients on a daily basis. It was opened on 31 January 2013.
